Recycle process for medical industry
Issue
A waste handling facility that deals mostly in plastic medical waste had a large load of polypropylene syringes that they needed to deal with on short notice. Their usual waste collector was unable to make the collection in time.
Exporting Material
The collection of the load of PP syringes was arranged with a licensed waste carrier, and the haulier brought the material to our recycling facility. At every step of the process of handling and transporting the plastic waste materials we deal with, we are fully compliant with all relevant regulations at all times. This process is carried out in the most ethically way possible to ensure the maximum recyclability of the polymers.
Consultation
The waste handling facility made contact with Pakire Polymers to see if there was any service we could provide to help them in their predicament. We swiftly conducted a site audit to understand the situation and then informed them of the value of their waste and their options for how to deal with it. We suggested that we could buy the PP syringes from them to have them recycled at our facility. The client agreed with our proposal, at which point we negotiated prices and issued a purchase order.
Output
We processed the PP syringes at our state-of-the-art recycling facility; the quality of our machinery and our expertly designed recycling line meant we were able to achieve a high yield of premium-quality recycled PP pellets that were sold to a manufacturer and put back into the economy.
