Recycle process for agricultural industry
Issue
An agricultural produce distributor was paying a monthly retainer to a waste collection service to dispose of the LDPE agricultural film that regularly builds up at their site. They need to have this scrap material regularly disposed of for the smooth operation of their facility, but the monthly retainer to the waste collector was a considerable expense that they would rather not have had to pay.
Exporting Material
We arranged the collection of the LDPE with a licensed waste carrier and the haulier brought the material to our recycling facility. At every step of the process of handling and transporting the plastic waste materials we deal with, we are fully compliant with all relevant regulations at all times. This process is carried out in the most ethically way possible to ensure the maximum recyclability of the polymers.
Consultation
The distributor contacted Pakire Polymers to arrange a consultation; we conducted a thorough audit of their site to come to a full understanding of their needs. We informed them of the value of their waste material and advised them of their options. We suggested that we could buy the LDPE agricultural film from them to recycle at our facility. The client agreed and we then negotiated prices and issued a purchase order.
Output
We processed the LDPE agricultural film at our state-of-the-art recycling facility, where we able to achieve a high yield of exceptional quality LDPE pellet. We then sold this material to a film manufacturer to put the plastic back into the economy, helping move towards the circular-economic model that we want to achieve.
