Die FEAD hat erkl\u00e4rt, dass der Sektor noch nicht einmal ann\u00e4hernd seine Kapazit\u00e4t zur Energieerzeugung und -einsparung erreicht hat.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Die FEAD gab diese Erkl\u00e4rung nach einer am 26. Juli getroffenen Vereinbarung ab<sup>th<\/sup> zwischen den EU-Mitgliedstaaten, um ihren Verbrauch an russischem Erdgas in diesem Winter um 15% zu senken. Das Potenzial f\u00fcr die Erzeugung von Strom und die Verringerung des Stromverbrauchs durch die Abfallwirtschaft k\u00f6nnte der EU helfen, sich auf etwaige St\u00f6rungen der Energieversorgung vorzubereiten.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Unabh\u00e4ngige Elektrizit\u00e4t<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nach Ansicht der FEAD k\u00f6nnte der Abfallwirtschaftssektor der EU auf verschiedene Weise helfen, das 15%-Ziel bei der Reduzierung des Gasverbrauchs zu erreichen. Zum Beispiel reduzieren die Sektoren Kunststoffr\u00fcckgewinnung und Recycling die Nachfrage nach Rohstoffen wie \u00d6l und Gas. Diese fossilen Brennstoffe werden f\u00fcr die Herstellung neuer Kunststoffe ben\u00f6tigt; durch das Recycling dieser Materialien wird die Notwendigkeit vermieden, neues Erd\u00f6l oder Erdgas zu f\u00f6rdern, zu transportieren und zu polymerisieren.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Das Recycling von Materialien wie Kunststoffen w\u00fcrde nicht nur unseren Energieverbrauch senken, sondern auch unseren Ressourcenverbrauch und die Produktion von Kohlenstoffemissionen. Diese beiden zus\u00e4tzlichen Vorteile tragen zum Schutz der Umwelt bei und sorgen gleichzeitig f\u00fcr eine h\u00f6here Wertsch\u00f6pfung in der Wirtschaft. Durch die Verringerung der Energienachfrage auf diese Weise w\u00e4re die EU in der Lage, sich st\u00e4rker auf ihre eigene unabh\u00e4ngige Stromversorgung zu verlassen.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Abfall zu Energie<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Auch die Energiegewinnung aus Abf\u00e4llen k\u00f6nnte eine Rolle spielen. Durch die Erh\u00f6hung der Menge unserer problematischen Abfallstr\u00f6me, die wir der Verbrennung zuf\u00fchren, w\u00fcrde nicht nur die Menge der auf Deponien entsorgten Abf\u00e4lle verringert, sondern auch die Menge an Strom und W\u00e4rme, die die EU erzeugen k\u00f6nnte, erh\u00f6ht. Die Energiegewinnung aus Abf\u00e4llen versorgt bereits 18 Millionen Menschen mit Strom und 15 Millionen Menschen mit W\u00e4rme, wobei 50% davon als erneuerbar gelten.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wir bei Pakire Polymers m\u00f6chten nicht, dass die Verbrennung zu sehr in den Mittelpunkt unserer Abfallentsorgung r\u00fcckt. Die Wiederverwertung eines m\u00f6glichst gro\u00dfen Teils unserer Abf\u00e4lle (indem wir der Wiederverwertbarkeit im Herstellungsprozess den Vorrang geben) ist immer noch die beste und energieeffizienteste Form der Abfallbewirtschaftung, die wir haben. F\u00fcr Materialien, die nicht recycelt werden k\u00f6nnen, ist die Verwertung in M\u00fcllverbrennungsanlagen jedoch weitaus besser als die Deponierung.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Unabh\u00e4ngige Stromerzeugung<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Die FEAD forderte die EU auf, Ma\u00dfnahmen zu ergreifen, die aktive Anreize f\u00fcr die Verwertungs- und Recyclingm\u00e4rkte schaffen. Dazu k\u00f6nnten Aufkl\u00e4rungsma\u00dfnahmen zur F\u00f6rderung der \u00f6ffentlichen Unterst\u00fctzung, Anforderungen an ein umweltfreundliches \u00f6ffentliches Beschaffungswesen, obligatorische Recyclinganteile in der Produktion, EU-Abfallkriterien und gute altmodische finanzielle Anreize geh\u00f6ren.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wir bei Pakire Polymers unterst\u00fctzen alle diese politischen Vorschl\u00e4ge voll und ganz.
